Mila’s journey at AAGI

Mila was an excited 3-year-old when she first heard about the new AAGI Kindergym that opened in Brookvale in 2011. This little bundle of energy was eager to jump, bounce, and roll on anything she could find. She especially loved hiding under the parachute and leaping off the mini trampoline.

Over the years, she developed friendships with her coaches and fellow gymnasts, and built a sense of confidence in herself and her abilities, which led her to continue choosing gymnastics as her preferred activity.

Mila began the WAG program in 2015. She not only enjoyed spending time with other like-minded girls but also thrived as she saw herself developing new skills and capabilities with each passing year, as she dedicated more time and effort to her routines.

As time went on, AAGI’s coaches, methods, and focus on her overall development helped her not only progress through the levels but also become a more complete gymnast and confident athlete. She grew passionate about the routine, discipline, and self-improvement that Artistic Gymnastics brought.

Thanks to the focus, support, and friendships fostered in the WAG program at AAGI, Mila has maintained a strong dedication to gymnastics. Her commitment has led her to compete and earn awards at state-level competitions, build self-confidence and resilience, and develop discipline and focus across various areas—including schoolwork. Most importantly, she has had fun and formed lifelong friendships.

Jemima’s journey at AAGI
Jemima started at AAGI in the recreation class just before her 5th birthday; she was very small for her age and extremely shy but already loved anything to do with gymnastics. As the next couple of years went by, Jemima developed her basic gymnastic skills in recreation and tumbling classes.

When Jemima joined the AAGI Acrobatic Squad at 7 years old, Jemima’s love for acrobatic gymnastics really took off, and her dedication and determination grew strong. With the help of the dedicated and talented coaches at AAGI, Jemima developed into a skilled acrobatic gymnast. Jemima has had the excitement and fortune to compete at the state and national levels; winning gold at Nationals in 2023 was a highlight for her and her family.

The AAGI coaches, students and families have all positively influenced Jemima and
helped her grow into the dedicated acrobatic gymnast she is today.
